St. Louis Blues defenseman Colton Parayko is currently representing Team Canada at the 4 Nations Face-Off. It is understandable that he made the team, as he has not only had a great season but has been an impactful defenseman for several years now.

Parayko is enjoying a strong offensive season for the Blues. He has already set a new career-high with 12 goals and has 29 points in 55 games. In addition to providing offense from the point, the 6-foot-6 blueliner also has 127 blocks. This is after he had 218 blocks in 82 games last season.Parayko đạt 500 trận, có thể đạt kỷ lục STL

Parayko’s blocking ability is one of the reasons why he is a significant part of the Blues’ defensive group. He is also inching closer to making franchise history because of it.

Parayko currently has an impressive 1,365 blocks in 714 career games with St. Louis. According to StatMuse, he needs just 11 more to pass former captain Alex Pietrangelo for the most in NHL history. Pietrangelo had 1,375 blocks in 758 contests as a Blue.

Parayko’s chase to become the Blues’ all-time blocks leader will be a fun storyline to watch once the 4 Nations Face-Off break comes to an end. Given how much Parayko is willing to sacrifice his body blocking shots, it should not take him very long to set this new record.
