Fans are ripping Donald Trump following recent comments about Major League Baseball.

The United States President took a wild swing at the MLB on Friday night, lashing out over their decision to keep Pete Rose out of the Hall of Fame despite the fact that he’s the all-time hits leader and one of the best players in baseball history.

Rose, who was hit with a lifetime ban after betting on Cincinnati Reds games, died last October. Trump feels he has paid enough of a price for his misdeeds, defending the former Reds star over his actions while revealing he’s set for a full pardon.

“Major League Baseball didn’t have the courage or decency to put the late, great, Pete Rose, also known as ‘Charlie Hustle,’ into the Baseball Hall of fame. Now he is dead, will never experience the thrill of being selected, even though he was a FAR BETTER PLAYER than most of those who made it, and can only be named posthumously,” Trump wrote on Truth Social. “WHAT A SHAME! Anyway, over the next few weeks I will be signing a complete PARDON of Pete Rose, who shouldn’t have been gambling on baseball, but only bet on HIS TEAM WINNING. He never betted against himself, or the other team. He had the most hits, by far, in baseball history, and won more games than anyone in sports history. Baseball, which is dying all over the place, should get off its fat, lazy [expleive], and elect Pete Rose, even though far too late, into the Baseball Hall of Fame!”

While plenty of fans support Trump’s decision and loved that he hit out at the MLB, plenty of them lashed out at him, too.

“Vlad’s Buddy taking a shot at baseball now. Next will be apple pie and hot dogs,” one wrote.
