The Dallas Cowboys caught several strays after John Cena’s shocking heel turn at WWE Elimination Chamber on Saturday night.

While many top WWE superstars have had to go through a heel turn to endear themselves to fans, Cena has never had to.

However, the 16-time world champion did what every single wrestling fan thought was impossible by betraying Cody Rhodes and aligning with The Rock and Travis Scott at the end of ‘Elimination Chamber’ on Saturday night.

As noted above, the Cowboys caught some strays, but they were not the only NFL entity subjected to the jokes online.

“John Cena turned heel before a Justin Herbert playoff win 💔,” someone shared online.

“John Cena next make-a-wish kid!” another joked with a GIF of a kid getting hit in the head with a football.

“John Cena in 23 years became a 16x World Champion, 5x U.S Champion, 4x Tag Team Champion, 1x Money in the Bank Winner, 2x Royal Rumble Winner, and turned heel all before the Cowboys even made an NFC Championship,” An Eagles fan account quipped.

“John cena heel turn before the cowboys could make it back to the nfc championship,” someone piled on.

“We got a full Cena heel turn before the Dallas Cowboys made the NFC Championship,” another comment read.

“John Cena really turned Heel before Lamar Jackson made a Super Bowl,” a user wrote.

Will John Cena End His WWE Career As A Heel?

Cena is on a year-long retirement tour as he prepares to call curtains on an illustrious career. Following a shocking moment comparable to Hulk Hogan’s joining nWo in 1996, he’s now a true heel for the first time in his 23-year WWE career.

He will be on show at ‘WrestleMania’ next month after winning his ‘Chamber’ match against CM Punk, forcing the latter to pass out in an STF. He is now set to face Rhodes on The Grandest Stage of Them All.

But it begs the question: will he go out as a heel?

It certainly looks likely.
