We have a new signing to announce within the Montreal Canadiens organization. Emmett Serensits is the latest player to be added to the Canadiens’ affiliate teams.

In the past few hours, the Trois-Rivières Lions officially announced the signing of 25-year-old right-shot defenseman Emmett Serensits.

He will begin with the Lions, with hopes of eventually climbing the ranks of the Montreal Canadiens organization (possibly with the Laval Rocket as well).

The Trois-Rivières Lions have announced the signing of defenseman Emmett Serensits!

As the captain of his former university team in Toronto, Emmett will bring solid defensive play while serving as an exceptional leader.

Welcome to the team, Emmett!

 

At 25 years old, Serensits is a right-shot defenseman, standing 6 feet 1 inch and weighing 180 pounds, who played 187 games in the OHL, all with the Sudbury Wolves.

In three seasons with Sudbury, he recorded 49 points, including 25 in his final season, while maintaining a strong +22 rating over his last two campaigns.

Since 2021, he has played with the University of Toronto, where he collected 45 points.

He might be a name to watch during upcoming training camps within the organization.

Emmett Serensits joins the Lions as Ron Choules’ squad sits atop their division, boasting a 40-13-6 record and 86 points in 59 games played. Solid!

The Canadiens are doing well, the Rocket are doing well, the Lions are doing well.. We can definitely say the Canadiens organization is in good shape, and that bodes well for the coming years in Montreal.
