TheNew York Rangers enforcer Matt Rempe could once again find himself suspended as a result of a careless play against Flames defenseman Jake Bean on Tuesday.

Matt Rempe said to the hockey community that he had worked on cleaning up his game after he boarded Miro Heiskanen.
“I’ve got to be a lot smarter, I don’t have to make every hit, if that makes sense. I’m so big and I can get going so I’ve got to be able to pick my hits, to know when to make the hit.
He’d be out of the team’s lineup for eight games and would end up spending some time with the Hartford Wolfpack, he’d play eighteen games with the Wolfpack scoring 5 points.
Rempe would have to work his way back into the lineup and gain Coach Peter Laviolette’s trust.
It was easily done, as he’d find himself on the fourth line, with Adam Edstrom, and Sam Carrick. The duo would be dubbed the “Rempire Towers” as they made easy work of defenses across the league.
After all his hard work paid off, it seems he’s gone back to being a goon yet again. He carelessly elbowed Flames defenseman Jake Bean in Madison Square Garden tonight.
As a repeat offender it isn’t too unreasonable to think he will have to have a new hearing for his latest offense.
George Parros and the Department of Player Safety know Rempe well, and his follies have led to him coughing up some of his earnings for his misdeeds against players like Dallas Stars defenseman Miro Heiskanen.
Could Rempe earn a Tom Wilson style of discipline which leads to a suspension totaling doubt-digits?
It’s not hard to imagine at this point.
In 33 games with the Rangers, he’s scored 5 points ( 2 goals, 3 assists) with a +5.
