Montreal Canadiens forward, Josh Anderson, once again found a way to amaze us last night.
Even while playing injured, Anderson was absolutely incredible against the Ottawa Senators.
He was even named the first star of the game, creating a beautiful moment at the heart of the Bell Centre.
Anderson visibly became emotional, overwhelmed by the immense love from Montreal Canadiens fans.
What a sight to see!
And it didn’t stop there for Anderson. A few minutes later, during a press conference, he delivered a powerful message to Canadiens fans.
Josh Anderson makes a promise to the fans
You can hear it briefly in the clip below, but essentially, with all the passion and determination in his voice, Anderson promised Canadiens fans that he would give absolutely everything to bring them playoff hockey this season.
The team is all in!
Listening to him speak, there is absolutely no doubt that he will back up his words with actions, as he has been doing for several weeks now.
“The last three years have been pretty tough. Seeing such an atmosphere in the stands makes us even more eager to make the playoffs. We’re going to give it everything to get there!”
– Josh Anderson
I can’t imagine what it must mean for players like Anderson and Brendan Gallagher to experience moments like these after such difficult years.
The players are on a mission, and they will do everything they can to make the playoffs.
As of today, the Canadiens have 73 points in 67 games and hold a playoff spot ahead of the New York Rangers, who have 72 points in 69 games.
Martin St-Louis’ squad truly has a chance!
