In the past few hours, we have indeed learned some very sad news involving the wonderful Chantal Machabée.
As revealed by the excellent contributors of the podcast “Tellement Hockey,” Chantal Machabée left the Canadiens’ entourage due to a serious injury.
We’re talking about a heavy fall on the ice, right in the middle of winter, very unfortunate..
However, there’s a new element that deserves to be highlighted in connection with this story.
The Montreal Canadiens Are a Deeply United Family
We talked about this recently with what happened in Brendan Gallagher‘s life in the past few days, with the very sad passing of his mother, and we’re seeing it again with this incident involving Chantal.
The Montreal Canadiens are one big, closely connected family.
In addition to recounting what happened with the Canadiens’ Vice President of Hockey Communications, Martin Leclerc added a piece of information that I believe is very important-and something that must be incredibly comforting to Chantal.
“Additionally, Leclerc also mentioned that the players and Martin St-Louis call her regularly to check in on her.
It shows the great chemistry that exists within the Canadiens organization.”

The full article from DLC is right here, but it’s a detail that speaks volumes about what’s happening inside the Montreal Canadiens organization right now.
Just imagine how much that must mean to Chantal!

I wonder how many NHL teams, how many NHL players, would take this kind of care of their Vice President of Hockey Communications.
This team is special.
Chantal is special.
Once again, we’d like to wish Chantal Machabée a speedy recovery
