It was a slightly intense day today for the young Montreal Canadiens defenseman, Arber Xhekaj.

Just minutes after his altercation with teammate Michael Pezzetta during a heated and physical practice, he has already set the tone for an intense and physical game tonight against the Ottawa Senators.

When simply asked whether he considers the Sens to be rivals, on the same level as the Boston Bruins or the Toronto Maple Leafs, the Sheriff’s response was crystal clear.

Arber Xhekaj, when asked if there is a rivalry between the Canadiens and the Senators:

“Yeah, definitely! [They] are probably our least favorite team, I’d say for sure!”

Xhekaj doesn’t hesitate for a second.

The team he dislikes the most in the entire NHL is Ottawa:

He added that the crowd’s energy definitely plays a role in that.
