The sophomore stunned against the UCLA Bruins on February 13.

JuJu Watkins continues to make headlines in the NCAA by inspiring the USC Trojans to a stunning 71-60 victory over the UCLA Bruins on February 13, as hype around the 19-year-old guard continues to grow.
The Bruins were the top seed heading into the clash and hadn’t lost a game, but that was before they met Watkins and even they proved to be unable to stop her march to the playoffs at the Galen Center.

The sophomore posted 38 points on the night and added 11 rebounds and eight assists too; as well as providing excellent defense with eight blocks on Thursday evening. Six of her efforts were free pointers.
Her performance was so impressive that she even made history by becoming the first player from the NCAA, WNBA or NBA in 20 years to produce such a feat, something not even the likes of LeBron James, Michael Jordan or Diana Taurasi have been able to replicate.
Her historic effort was all fans could talk about online after the contest, to the point where the Trojans‘ first victory over a number one opponent since 1983, 42 years ago, even slipped under the radar.
One user posted to X.com, formerly Twitter, “JUJU WATKINS IS UNREALLLLLL.”
A second added, “Juju Watkins can’t be stopped.”
A third said, “Juju Watkins is the real deal.”
A fourth commented, “What JuJu Watkins did tonight against UCLA was one of the better performances I’ve seen in a while in any sport. 38 pts 11 rebounds and 8 blocks! Absolute dominance on both ends.”
Who do the Trojans play next?
The USC Trojans are now 22-2 for the season (.916) and are on the charge in the NCAA, quickly emerging as one of the favorites to make the national championship game at the end of March Madness.
But next up is a test against the Washington Huskies (14-11) on Sunday, February 16 at the Alaska Airlines Arena in Seattle. Tip-off is expected from 19:00 ET/16:00 PT.
