Nag-resign o na-dethrone ba si Rachel Gupta ng India bilang Miss Grand International 2024?

Ito ang katanungan ng pageant fans nang maglabas ng magkasalungat na statement si Rachel at ang Miss Grand International (MGI) Organization kaugnay sa pagbaba sa puwesto ng Indian beauty queen.

RACHEL GUPTA’S STATEMENT

Sa inilabas niyang statement, sa pamamagitan ng Instgram ngayong Miyerkules, Mayo 28, 2025, sinabi ni Rachel na nagbitiw siya bilang Miss Grand International 2024.

Ayon kay Rachel, ibinalik niya ang kanyang korona dahil sa diumano’y mga hindi natupad na pangako, “mistreatment,” at “toxic environment.”

Pahayay niya sa Instagram: “It is with deep regret that I share this news: I have made the decision to step down as Miss Grand International 2024 and return my crown.

“Being crowned was one of the most cherished dreams of my life, and I was filled with hope and pride to represent my country and make history.

“However, the months following my crowning have been marked by broken promises, mistreatment and a toxic environment I can no longer endure in silence.

“This decision was not made lightly.In the coming days, I will be releasing a full video sharing the details behind this difficult journey.

“I ask for your compassion, your open hearts, and your continued support as I take this next step. Your love means more than you know.”

Sa hiwalay na pahayag, humingi siya ng paumanhin sa mga sumusuporta sa kanya.

Saad ni Rachel: “To all my supporters around the world, I’m truly sorry if this news has disappointed you.

“Please know this wasn’t an easy decision, but it was the right one for me.”

Si Gupta ang kauna-unahang Indian na nanalong Miss Grand International.

MISS GRAND INTERNATIONAL ORGANIZATION STATEMENT

Ilang minuto matapos maglabas ng pahayag si Rachel, mabilis na sumagot ang Miss Grand International Organization sa pamamagitan ng opisyal na pahayag.

Pero magkaiba ang pahayag ni Rachel at ng organizer ng kontrobersiyal na beauty pageant na pinamumunuan ng Thai businessman na si Nawat Itsaragrisil.

Ayon sa MGI Organization, binawi nila ang korona at titulo mula sa Indian beauty queen dahil sa pagkabigo nitong gampanan ang tungkulin at iba pang paglabag.

Pahayag ng organisasyon: “The Miss Grand International Organization hereby announces the termination of Miss Rachel Gupta’s title as Miss Grand International 2024, effective immediately.

“This decision follows her failure to fulfill her assigned duties, engagement in external projects without prior approval from the organization, and her refusal to participate in the scheduled trip to Guatemala.

“As a result, the organization has resolved to revoke her title with immediate effect.

“Miss Rachel Gupta is no longer authorized to use the title or wear the crown associated with Miss Grand International 2024.

“We request that the crown be returned to the MGI Head Office within 30 days from the date of this notice.”

WILL CJ OPIAZA REPLACE RACHEL GUPTA AS MISS GRAND INTERNATIONAL 2024?
