Two quarterback-needy teams are reportedly looking to trade up and acquire the No. 1 pick in the 2025 NFL Draft from the Tennessee Titans.
The Titans finished 3-14 to secure the top pick of 2025, winning tiebreakers over the Cleveland Browns and New York Giants. Tennessee hasn’t made the No. 1 selection in the NFL Draft since 1978 (Earl Campbell), when they were the Houston Oilers.

According to a report from ESPN’s Dan Graziano, the New York Giants and New York Jets “are “believed to be interested in” trading up in the draft. Both teams need a starting quarterback, with the Jets already announcing their plans to move on from Aaron Rodgers:
“The Giants’ plan at QB after losing out in the Matthew Stafford sweepstakes feels a little unsettled. They could use the No. 3 pick on either Miami’s Cam Ward or Colorado’s Shedeur Sanders if still on the board, or they could move up to No. 1 to take one of them. A lot of folks believe the Titans are interested in trading out of the top pick, and the Giants and Jets are among the teams believed to be interested in moving up.”
Cam Ward and Shedeur Sanders are the consensus top-two quarterback prospects in the 2025 NFL Draft. The Titans and Browns also need a new starting quarterback, though, so there’s no guarantee the Giants or Jets will get the QB they want.
The Giants pursued a trade for Los Angeles Rams star signal-caller Matthew Stafford, but the 37-year-old agreed to a restructured deal to stay in La La Land. With GM Joe Schoen and head coach Brian Daboll needing to win to save their jobs, it’ll be interesting to see how aggressive they get in pursuing a quarterback.
Titans Have A Tough Decision To Make With No. 1 Pick In NFL Draft

If there were a can’t-miss QB in the 2025 NFL Draft, the Titans would definitely keep the pick. But Sanders and Ward aren’t quite sure things to succeed, so nobody could fault Tennessee for taking a more polished prospect like Abdul Carter or Cam Ward.
But if they do trade the pick, the Titans better get a franchise-altering return.
