A photo has emerged from the previously reported confrontation between NFL Network insider Ian Rapoport and Fox Sports’ Jordan Schultz in Indianapolis on Wednesday.

Ian Rapoport and Jordan Schultz are among the many reporters in Indianapolis this week to cover the 2025 NFL Scouting Combine. On Wednesday evening, news emerged of a tense interaction between the two insiders at a Starbucks shop in the city.

Sources told Pro Football Talk’s Mike Florio that Schultz approached Rapoport and confronted him for pouring cold water over one of Schultz’s reports about Matthew Stafford (more on that shortly).

Florio was told that Jordan Schultz told Ian Rapoport the following:

“If you have anything to say it to me, say it to my f**king face. If this continues we’re going to have a f**king problem…If this happens again, we’re gonna have fucking problem…Now I’ll step back.”

Awful Announcing received an image of the actual confrontation that can be viewed below:

Schultz later confirmed to Pro Football Talk that they “had a verbal confrontation” and that Rapoport called for security. Schultz denied using any profanity in the altercation, and Florio has since reported that league security is investigating the incident.

It appears that the Fox Sports insider wasn’t happy with Ian Rapoport shutting down one of his reports about Las Vegas Raiders minority owner Tom Brady meeting with Los Angeles Rams quarterback Matthew Stafford at his Montana home:

Stafford had been widely linked to the Raiders in trade rumors, but the 37-year-old quarterback agreed to a restructured deal that will keep him with the Los Angeles Rams for at least one more year.

Ian Rapoport Addressed The Incident On “The Pat McAfee Show”

Rapoport was asked about the incident during Thursday’s appearance on “The Pat McAfee Show.” Rapoport said he got plenty of text messages with folks inquiring about the incident, but the NFL insider said Florio’s report basically covered all the details, and thus, he didn’t “have much to add.”

As Florio additionally added, Schultz could face discipline for his actions since Fox is one of the NFL’s broadcast partners. There’s a possibility that he could lose his credentials for upcoming NFL events, so stay tuned.
