Jeraldine Blackman opens up about health issues, reminds followers to ‘stay healthy’

Filipino content creator Jeraldine Blackman of the Blackman Family took to Instagram to share about the health issue that she has suffering from since 2022.

In an Instagram post on May 22, Jeraldine detailed how she was able to discover that the heart condition called “left ventricular septal aneurysm”  has caused her “on and off chest pains” in the past three years.

“I have something that is called left ventricular septal aneurysm,” she said. “I have an aneurysm in my heart, and I found this out in June 2022. Prior to the diagnosis, I [had] been having chest pains. I’ve never had chest pain in my life until May 2022.”

According to Jeraldine, the issues that she was complaining about back then were dismissed twice.

“I went to my local emergency, I got tested and they sent me back home,” she said. “They said my ECG and Blood test were all normal.”

“[Three] days after that, I was doing my washing at home then I suddenly fainted. I gained consciousness and I was still feeling dizzy. So Josh decided to take me to emergency again, this time, it’s a different hospital. We were in triage, and I had fainted again. So they monitored me for the whole day. They said I was fine, so they sent me home again,” she added.

Eventually, her cardiologist found out her true condition after reviewing her electrocardiogram (ECG) results.

“While we were on our way home, one of the emergency doctors [rang] me and they said ‘Oh can you come back [because] we just found out in your ECG that you have a left bundle branch block. So, they did ECHO [echocardiogram], and they found out I have a 3.8CM aneurysm in my left ventricle,” she narrated.

According to Jeraldine, they consulted three cardiologists to make sure about the findings.

Meanwhile, content creator assured her followers in the same post that she is now in a better position, but she stressed that she will be “forever on heart monitoring.”

“Thank the Lord I have found a very good cardiologist that monitors me. I was on a few medications to control the symptoms, but we have stopped everything because I am now stable,” she said.

Aside from the said heart problem, Jeraldine also shared that she is currently facing gastrointestinal issues.

“My gastroenterologist just found out last Tuesday (May 19) that I have 15 polyps in my colon,” she revealed.

With these issues, the content creator is now strictly watching her diet.

“I am very careful of what I eat,” she said. “And that’s why you always see in my vlogs everytime I get my coffee, that it has to be decaf. I will be forever on a strict gluten free diet because of an autoimmune reaction I get when I eat food with gluten.”

Despite her health condition, Jeraldine is positive that she will receive healing from above.

“God is good!! He will heal me,” she claimed.
