Matet recalls reunion with Nora after Superstar’s return from U.S.
Binalikan ni Matet de Leon ang unang pagkikita nila ng yumaong inang si Nora Aunor pagkatapos ng pitong taong pamamalagi ng Superstar sa Amerika.
Nanirahan si Nora sa Amerika mula 2004 hanggang 2011 dahil sa ilang kadahilanan.
Sa Facebook nitong nakaraang May 5, 2025, nagbahagi si Matet ng “blurred” na larawan nila ni Nora at kapatid na si Kenneth de Leon.
Lima silang anak ni Nora: sina Lotlot, Ian, Matet, Kiko, at Kenneth de Leon.
Si Ian ang tanging biological child ni Nora sa ex-husband na si Christopher de Leon. Adopted naman sina Lotlot, Matet, Kenneth, at Kiko.
MEMORABLE PHOTO WITH THE SUPERSTAR
Sa unang bahagi ng post ni Matet, humingi muna siya ng dispensa dahil malabo ang larawan na kanyang ipinost, kung saan kasama niya sina Nora at Kenneth.
Kuha raw ang nasabing larawan sa isang photo shoot ng Superstar matapos nitong makabalik sa Pilipinas.
Hindi kasama sina Matet at Kenneth sa photo shoot, pero nag-request daw si Nora na kunan silang mag-iina.
Ayon kay Matet, labis nilang na-miss ang ina dahil hindi nila ito nadalaw sa Amerika dahil sa kakapusan ng pera.
Noong panahong iyon din, hindi pa uso ang anumang video call kaya sa email lamang daw sila nag-uusap.
Saad ni Matet sa caption ng kanyang post (published as is): “Ito yung unang araw na nakauwi si mommy from the states.. Grabeng tagal namin siyang hindi nakita..
“Hindi kami makapunta sa states noon dahil pare parehas mahirap ang buhay namin nung panahong yun..
“Hindi parin uso ang video call kaya sa email lang kami nag uusap that time.. Eto kami ni kenneth, excited sa atensyon, oras at yakap ni mommy.
“Hindi kami kasama sa photo shoot niya but she wanted a photo with the both of us”
Samantala, malaki naman ang pasasalamat ni Matet sa lahat ng nakiramay sa kanilang pamilya nang pumanaw ang National Artist for Film and Broadcast Arts.
Mensahe ni Matet: “We miss her terribly. Kagaya ng karamihan sa inyo.. Kaya gusto kong magpa salamat sa lahat ng nakiramay.
“Naka punta man o hindi nung wake ni mommy.. We appreciate all of you.
“Mula sa aming lima, Thank you.”
