Why Maja Salvador, hubby won’t show child in social media

Modern moms have introduced the concept of posting images of their pregnancies and baby bumps on social media, as well as uploading well-produced newborn photos. It has become popular particularly among celebrities whose lives have long been public.

However, showbiz couple Maja Salvador and Rambo Nuñez prioritize privacy for their first child. While they appreciate the fans’ enthusiasm to see their baby’s face, they decided not to do so.

At the launch of her own body care brand Majeskin, Salvador said once a parent exposes their child to social media, everyone becomes overly comfortable dealing with the child in public.

“And then, of course, kung naumpisahan mo nang i-post siya, parang mangyayari talaga ‘yun, e. Hilahin ‘yung bata, magpa-picture, pisilin ‘yung pisngi. [Kids] don’t have any idea bakit sila ginaganun na kilala pala sila. Iyon ‘yung iniiwasan namin. And then, ‘Bakit bawal, e, pino-post niyo siya?’” she said.

The celebrity mom said some brands attempted to offer them endorsements for their first child, but she and her husband made it clear that they would not accept them.

“Even may mga brands na gusto na kahit ‘name your price,’ sabi ko, ‘hindi talaga,’” she shared.

Nuñez said he wants his daughter to have a private and normal life. “There’s a lot of people na ang mata nasa atin, o nasa mga individual na nasa entertainment industry. Kami, isa sa reasons namin for the kid talaga, for our baby, is for her to enjoy ‘yung buhay niya, na habang lumalaki, na hindi siya kilala.”

I mean, it’s not like na hindi namin na-appreciate ‘yun, but siyempre wala pang malay, di ba?

The proud mother is full of admiration for her husband, who is also a partner in her new venture. The couple’s dream has always been to have two or three children to complete their family life.

“Basta before mag-40, ganoon lang. Two talaga. Two to three.

So we try to be there as much as possible.”

Salvador’s new venture

Salvador launched her own body care company, Majeskin, which offers minimal, majestic, and skin-friendly body products, demonstrating her passion for self-care, last week.

The actress-entrepreneur was accompanied by her real-life “ninang” and business partner, Rhea Tan, founder of the popular beauty brand Beautéderm.

Salvador spoke to ABS-CBN News about how her concept of beauty has changed since becoming a mother.

So, nandun ‘yung talagang wala nang iba kundi you just need to accept and love your new self. Because ‘yung binigay sa’yo, walang makakapantay na. That’s the best gift ever. And, hindi ko na maibabalik ‘yung dating ako, but I’m loving the new me,” she told ABS-CBN News.

She also shared with ABS-CBN News that as an actress, she has always felt pressure to appear beautiful in front of the camera and the audience.

And yes, kailangan namin gawin ‘yun because ito ‘yung pinili namin na trabaho, di ba? So, kailangan namin maging consistent. And then, kailangan mo i-check ‘yung sarili mo.

The Majeskin owner also offered advice to mothers who deal with body image issues.

“I feel you moms. It’s okay if hindi niyo ma-achieve kaagad. Because iba ‘yung pressure na makabalik kaagad. Take it slow.
